Webinars are different from regular Zoom meetings. Polling and Q&A features are available in addition to registration and post-webinar reporting.

During webinars, only the host and panelists can use their microphones and cameras or share their screens. The platform is also capable of live streaming the webinar via YouTube or Facebook.UMass Amherst faculty, staff, and students can use the regular university Zoom license for meetings with up to 300 participants.įor larger events, Zoom Webinars support up to 500 attendees in a 'listen only' mode. Hosts have overall control of the webinar and can mute/unmute panellists, promote attendees and mange Q&A/polling. They can interact via chat, Q&A, hand raising and polling. Panellists can share slides, video, audio and take part in panel discussions much like a normal Zoom meeting participant.Īttendees are audience observers by default with no video or audio. Unlike a regular Zoom meeting, a Zoom Webinar splits participants into two categories- panellists and attendees– alongside the webinar host. It is designed to enable much greater control and clarity for organizers, presenters and attendees for conferences with larger audiences.

The Zoom Webinars platform is based on the familiar Zoom Meetings system. Prices vary depending on the number of attendees required and can be paid either monthly or annually.

Departmental users can request the purchase of a Zoom Webinar add-in on their existing Departmental Zoom host license.
